Goodbye Interview with Dr Jacob

Posted on: December 11th, 2019 by nmouknhs

Please come and join us for Dr Jacob’s final interview where we will discuss his years setting up and running the UK NMO service here at the Walton Centre, his reasons for leaving and his plans for the future.  There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the interview.  Here is the registration link and a few words from Dr Jacob.  Please test the link and upload the webinar info ahead of the session to make sure it is working.

Dear UK  NMO community,

After much thought and a lot of sadness, I am going to take break from NHS and UK NMO service for a few years.

I have been offered a job at the Cleveland clinic hospital in Abu Dhabi primarily for MS and NMO. This will allow me  to visit often  and spend more time with my  mom ( who is now 80 and well and lives in Kerala,) in  India.

The UK NMO service has gone from strength to strength with fantastic teams in Liverpool and Oxford. Many of you know already my colleague at Liverpool Dr Saif Huda an excellent doctor.  I am absolutely confident that I leave the service in very capable hands. I am also going to pop back into Walton Centre every couple of months just in case everyone forgets me fully! I am around till mid-January and will try to say goodbye to those I meet. I will also try to return any calls. I want to thank all of you for the love you have shown over the years and the trust you had in me. It has been my privilege to be a part of your lives.
